EARTH DAY + a giveaway
I'm going to begin my Earth Sidereal day post with a game show. I love bountiful things away. So much fun.
So today I have a My Natural Bamboo Collection monkey from MiYim to give to one lucky reviewer.

It's by nature antibacterial, has ablated toxicity and allergy levels and is super-absorbent and quick drying.
The PureWaterWash™ coloring process is safe for entirely trivial ones. The fabric is brightened with nature's own plants and minerals then hand dyed repeatedly in soy-water to set the discolor.

An here is a little of what we did today to fete Earth Day.
TEDDY BEAR Picture
I picked up these lovable EarthRite teddy bears from CVS yesterday for $1.99 each. What a dicker. The bears are made from the conversion of recycled (PET) plastic bottles into new polyester fabric. I thought they would make a great Earth Day activity for the twins. I put out some fabric paints and armed the twins with paintbrushes and away they went. Painting their own teddy bears.

PLANTING SEEDS
While I had newspaper along the board it was a gravid sentence to get around the gardening kits East wind bunny had brought for the twins. They had a great time sparge overly many seeds in each sess and watering their little pots relevant of seeds splash over the root just they loved it. Their minuscule greenhouses are sitting along the kitchen window and we'll wait and see if anything grows – which may chance if I actually remember to water them once in a while ha ha. Flynn sown seeds for cucumbers and carrots and Marisol planted seeds for Zinnia and Cupid's Fondness flowers.

We planted seeds today to a fault! Carrots, cucumbers, poppies, black-eyed susans (they were the same kits that you had there for your kids, thanks for the tip along where to get those!). Oh, and tomorrow is Wills b-day and I sent him a plant outfit (from Rare Goods) that comes with a 100% biodegradable container 🙂

I like the above idea of picking up the remnant plastic toys off the beach……Good one!We use canvas bags (I have much from 1993 that my mom gave me so we have got done this for a long time) at any store we attend (the mall, groceries, etc etc) and we found Big reusable bags at Ikea for 59 cents that are great for Costco; I charge my cell in my car instead of at home, we have entirely of our electronics on power strips and squinting them altogether off at night operating theater during the daytime when we are not exploitation them; we use cloth diapers; we recycle and try to buy items with less packaging (like bulk, not single servings); I reuse the plastic bags our veggies come in from our CSA at the market instead of victimisation new ones for fruits and veggies; We make our own household cleaners and use recyclable spray bottles and pint jars…..Groovy post, and I like your ideas and suggestions…what a neat resource. I know you weren't looking for totally these things, only since the beach idea was inspirational I thinking I'd exclude things we come in the hopes of giving ideas…. 🙂

The biggest affair I manage for the environment is reprocess. In point of fact our reprocess bin is larger than our garbage can, and full every week! Thankfully I sleep in a city that makes it easy.

We recycle, conserve water (thanks to a very resourceful 6 year old's passion for information technology!), turn off the undemanding when you leave a room. Keep the thermostat in the mid 60s in winter, have no A/C…..Love the twins bears and the veggie and flower planting!

We do many earth happy activities! We love to garden! One of the charities we love to fend for is the Florida Oceanography society. Dave has been volunteering with them to take care of the overseas turtles since 1992. But our biggest way we help the environment is to reprocess reprocess. we reuse SO much! Glass jars we reuse for all kinds of things! Categorization nails, screws, etc. Sorting scrapbooking stuff like chipboard letters, brads. and i moldiness bear 300 of them sorting my beads buttons! We also reuse things like plastic containers, plastic paper bags, boxes. We take cans to the recycling center and compile the tabs from soda cans to donate to the shiners hospital and a couple of other organizations that take them. i could go on and on, but i conceive ive said enough. hehe :)your ideas with the kids for earth day are fantastic! If I was rich I would seriously pay you to learn Elijah also!
